abundant options for us…

First off…I begin 100% aware that my upbringing and environment have made me super-aware of all the directions we can go in life.  The support from family that allowed me to venture to India, Jamaica, Spain, Jerusalem, Egypt, Puerto Rico, etc….has made me aware that perhaps what America invites me to accept as truth is not my dream world.

What do you yearn for?  What life do you dream of?  Do you want options in life?  Do you wish you had the chance to tap into happiness that will last forever?  Does your dream life look like your parents’ dream world?  It’s crazy, but this life can have few options or abundant options based upon what we do today! 

What will you do today?  Will you make choices that open up doors for you in the future?  Will you save money that allows you to travel outside of your current country of residence?  Will you do the work it takes to have success in your current schooling?  Will you believe in your worthiness and begin to create your dream world in this moment?

Power to you on your journey friends!  Will abundant doors open up to you?  I hope so!

what wonderful gift will the next person we interact with offer us?

walking outside this morning I pass a woman..she said, “Good morning!”

“How are you?” I asked. 

“Doing well here, you?”

“Living the dream!” I said. “What a beautiful day!”

“I know,” she added, “Have a great day!”

“You too!” 

It was like interacting with a joyous angel!  Perhaps we are here to be angels to one another and share our shine with all!

why am i unmotivated?

feel stuck in a windstorm of apathy?  moving along as if you were a zombie?  desiring a change?

here are five questions to answer to give you some clarity as to what might need to change if you hope to create a new reality:

1.  are the people i hangout with positive, compassionate, inspiring, and supportive?

2.  do i get quality sleep, regular exercise, play & create like a child, have alone time to breathe/meditate/pray, and make healthy food choices?

3.  do i listen to inspiring music, watch inspiring movies & tv, and read inspiring books?

4.  do i believe that i have power to create my dream reality with persistence, dedication, and patience?

5.  am i grateful for the small, yet powerful, miracles each day?

Power to each of us as we have the courage to make little strides in the direction of JOY, INSPIRED LIVING, and GRATITUDE!

how well do i know my partner?

During our days of romance the following seem to be the most important when deciding if the partner is one we want to marry:

-interests/hobbies align, sexual intimacy, buying stuff for each other, personality, physical attraction, romantic nights-out…to name a few…

most importantly i believe we fall in love because someone outside of ourselves and outside of our family is giving us consistent attention.  i hope that the attention we receive is of a positive nature and not of a negative, controlling, addictive, dependent sort of attention.  if you can’t live without your partner it is now time for you to take a hiatus from relationships and discover your own happiness inside…and then enter back into the dating world.

What if we really got to know our partner before choosing to marry them?  What kind of conversations would we be sure to have with them or with our journal?

Well…again to name a few…how about money?   worldviews?   family background & upbringing?   no religion/religion/spirituality?   individual dreams?  parenting styles if having kids is a desire for both?   travel hopes?  where to live?  am i inspired by this person?  do i feel supported to be all i am or am i being held back?

rebellion

crazy it is to sit in a classroom as 19 seniors in high school are cruising through an assignment in their glorious economic books…. 

why crazy?

because i think perhaps it is crazy that there have not been nationwide, student-led protests about schooling that is training us to be robotic and the year is 2011.  how many of these students are passionate about the information that they are thoughtlessly transferring from text to their paper? 

maybe 1.

perhaps a rebellion is coming in 2012?

Hello world!

I love learning, healing, teaching, dreaming, living, feeling, listening, sharing, discovering, traveling, reading, dancing, loving, growing. 

I believe that Truth rests inside each of us.  And we have learned from our families of origin and our various cultures how to avoid & to miss the magnificent Light that rests within us.  We have been taught to seek Truth/Joy outside of us…while it can definitely be found there, I believe that our awareness of Truth/Joy outside of us becomes easier the more we are in tune with this Truth, Love, Spirit, Peace inside of us.  Where is Truth leading me currently…to play more, to create dream opportunities near and far for myself and others, to meditate more, to find joy with the green grass currently beneath my feet in this moment, to write “morning pages” as Julia Cameron recommends, to trust my healing gifts, and to increase my kind voice toward myself.

I believe that the statement, “I love you as you are.” is TRUTH.  I believe this because beyond the way each of us is choosing to create life in this physical realm, whether healthy or destructive…within each of us…is Spirit/Light and it is Whole!  Thanks be to the Light that leads us home to wholeness each breath we take!
